Not sure about A, but I'm reminded of Mike Scott, an old favourite angry songwriter of mine, who got boring once he started writing about his newfound happiness. Speaking for travelling Siren, I leave you with the Waterboys lyrics, taken from WB Yeats, to Stolen Child.
Come away, O human child!
To the waters and the wild
For the world’s more full of weeping than you can
understand
Honestly, Nate, y'needs a vacation, maybe a trip to the Vatican.
First y'leave a smiley on someone's blog and now a full post on "isn't this a different A". Have ye not heard of two people havin' the same first initial?
Meanwhile ye could be commenting on:
- the comment purporting to be from the folks at the Elphin;
- the Dude's advice; or
- all the personal details in the lavalife dates from yesterday.
Meanwhile, we have all new content:
- there's the suggestion we might get the story of the poet;
- we learn the dude and the poet know each other (but of course they would); and
- there's the cottage property family dispute.
As for the cottage property, I'm missing our old friend Waggie. It seems like 5M's dad suggested he sell the property and split the proceeds 4 ways, with family members having first shot at buying; 5M suggested he just give it all to her; and now there's no communication. But I find all that lawyerly talk and those asterisks confusing.
Oh, and Conchie, huh?

If any of us get in trouble with our blogging, maybe these guys can help.
I'd suggest you delete the Elphin's comments. But I guess that's all I can do.
Wow, okay. I bite.
Did Elphin speak? Is Ottawa really as small as that?
As far as legal goes on the lake, it was too complicated for me to follow, but: apparently cottage division between grown children is the number one cause of family feuds.
And, my take is it should be sold off. If others want to buy the share, two official appraisals should be done. If there's a discrepancy in price, a third should be done. The property can then be purchased based on appraised value.
Oh, and 5M, welcome.
Come on, find a good one. A profile in intimate encounters isn't cool.
Okay,
he's 44, very sexy looking, speaks English and Italian. Likes reading, has fun doing athletic things. Trying to quit smoking (can't all be perfect). A bit wild. Makes good money. rides a motorcycle as well as being a financial analyst (fun) . . .he's not in Ottawa, but not too far.

CEREBRAL SUCCOUR

In My Own Words
Most Lava critters aspire to bubble up hot and steamy. Many intend to project that heat with an image. Others attempt combustion with a few suggestive words. An unhappy few emerge heated by some infernal flame better suited to Hades than to relationship building.
As I erupt into your consciousness for these few seconds a different strategy is at play. I hope to excite a resonant sensibility. If you feel those vibrations and find yourself thinking “this guy has potential”, then grab my hand and let’s proceed to our mating dance.
Have in common?
My idea of romance includes: a moonlight swim, watching a sunset/sunrise, love poems
In my spare time I enjoy: visiting a park, pottery/sculpting, painting
I Value: compassion, integrity, education/high intellect

Well, Conchie,
I think y've proved it. There's nae but scurvy dogs here in Ottawa.
And Conchie, just how is 5M supposed to make this trip to Burlington?
Get a ride from that tailgater she dumped?
(Do you suppose that the trip to Burlington ends at Snake Road could be a sign?)
Well -- After disappointing responses from Agents AO, I've just spent half an hour looking around the Ottawa ll scene. Unfortunately, I'm not really seeing great catches. However, Toronto seems to have lots of potential. Oh well.
Worlds are colliding now with comments from 5M. Is the end near for this meta blog?

Wow, Ms. Mous, that's a lot of grandchildren. Are they all near you in Ohio? Re: metablog -- We seem to have gotten a a couple of anonymous 'is the end near?' questions in our comments during the past few days. Good question. I'm not really an expert on apocalypses or end time prophesies, so I'll have to pass your query on to 6th Apostle. It's kind of a hobby with him.
It used to be 20, buy I ate some. The pension is not what it used to be since George Dubya came to power.

All this talk of endtimes and apocalypse has me somewhat queasy and unsettled. It reminds me of a time when I gave the following heartfelt speech, an on-air address that is just as apropos now that our beloved metablog has been thrown open to the whims of cruel fate and wanton dominance by those who would abuse it for their destructive ends:
"Ladies and gentlemen, uh, we've just lost the picture, but what we've seen speaks for itself. The Corvair spacecraft has apparently been taken over- 'conquered' if you will- by a master race of giant space ants. It's difficult to tell from this vantage point whether they will consume the captive Earthman or merely enslave them. One thing is for certain: there is no stopping them; the ants will soon be here. And I, for one, welcome our new insect overlords. I'd like to remind them as a trusted TV personality, I can be helpful in rounding up others to toil in their underground sugar caves."
From me old Sunday School Days, I don't recall the inclusion of polls in a 5M posting to be one of the signs of the end-time.
But surely 'tis an evil harbinger.
And whatever the poll results, something tells me the ESIs are unlikely to be brought in as script consultants. Touché, 5M, touché!
