Good things about the Economic Downturn

1. I feel less poor than usual.
2. I feel better about myself and my fiscally irresponsible past.
3. I feel slightly more grateful than usual for being employed.
4. My recycled clothing and home furnishings are now chic.
5.
6. Communism might make a comeback. Viva la revolution!!
7. When I shop now, I think of myself as stimulating the economy and that stimulates me.
8. It's fun to nest at home and make crafts.
9. Depression glass may become all the rage again.
10. We'll be able to say we lived through the ED and that it made us stronger as people.

Viva! And I'm totally behind #5, too...

Number 5 is rather naughty, but I agree with you...

Number 4 gives me an idea - I'm going to start looking for "ED-chic" women's fashions in Ottawa. Didn't IO write on this blog about the new "austere serious" look in Italy back in October 2008?! Stay tuned!

This makes me a little bit happy, too.

I'm a big fan of EDs, too and for all the same reasons...except #8 which is just weird and #5 which is appalling.

I agree with recyling clothing and furniture, I've been doing that for years and hopefully others will continue to do it, no matter what the future holds for the economy. Crafting at home is also good.:)
