Meech Lake with the Dude

My apologies, fellow meta-bloggers, but I'm changing my tune here. I think it's ok for the 5M to hang out with the Dude for a little while. I'm thinking a little Dude-action would not hurt and might be a good antidote to what she's been dealing with.
Sometimes the situation calls for hanging out with a silver-tongued devil with six offspring. This may be one of those situations.

Ahhh, thanks for the beautiful pic.
I might just agree with you, Agatha. That would be assuming that our 5M is strong enough to understand full well that Dude is nothing more than grease to assist her transition into a self-respecting muse who doesn't go with inappropriate types who make her feel bad about herself.
Lots of times women-in-transition say they understand this, then next thing you know . . . "but I'm in love with himmm" pablum happens.

Speaking of charming scoundrels, last night sea crab sharing my shell told me about a friend of hers who fell in love with a golf-pro while vacationing. Within days of the marriage, she finds out he's still secretly married to another. She breaks it off, believing he's a scoundrel after her money. Shortly after he marries another woman -- who ends up murdered, and he goes missing!

And because he's so very clearly inappropriate, and she doesn't really respect him, she might just be able to take what she needs and discard him when through.

Even though he's a pervert-maniac-freak?

and for this a pervert-maniac-freak is okay, right?

Dude, snake, pervert-maniac-freak -- doesn't matter. Guy is still all wrong. Sure, the Muse doesn't respect him. Fine. But he doesn't respect her, either. Call me a hopeless romantic, but I think a healthy relationship -- even a transitonal one -- requires more than mutual disrespect.

And I don't mean horniness either....

Just a hunch, but the Dude strikes me as the kind of guy who should read this article in case he's heading to Italy any time soon:

"Venice has begun a zero tolerance campaign to restore public decorum, with dozens of tourists being fined 50 euros for removing their shirts and other 'unseemly behaviour'.

Unacceptable acts also include eating picnic-style lunches outdoors, dangling feet in the canals and wearing minuscule shorts.

The focus of the crusade is what Venetians now call torsonudismo - literally, 'torso-nudism' practised by tourists removing their shirts in the heat."

Now, you know, he's got six kids and an ex-wife and dresses well, and shows a sensitive side by drawing. In my mind he's more likely what one would call a Don Juan expert lover than pervert maniac freak, although I suppose those can be two similar looking sides of one coin.

Ah. This raises an important question. Is it a sensitive side? Or a pick-up device? Further, is what you imagine to be, what's really going on? Keep in mind, before you answer, that the Muse has committed a similar error in logic repeatedly, and that it has been a decidedly unsuccessful relationship strategy for her.
