Happy Birthday!

In the beginning, you are full of confidence about what will happen in your life. Then things happen, and you realise that your own life is going to be like no-one else's. It doesn't follow predictable patterns. Expectations go un-met, or are over-met. And it's all good.
I wish the Muse a happy birthday, and, for the second half of her life, freedom from expectations, and the freedom to be happy with who she is and where she is -- whatever that is.
From this week's X-Press, the horosope for Cancer:

I'm not much of a one for philosophizing. I've no patience for questions like "if you wish someone happy birthday and they don't know it, does it make a difference?"
As for internal reflection, I'm more about making a plan or charting a course. Figuring out what you need to do to get where you want to go.
And for all I've made fun of 5M and her kittens, I'm a big believer of taking bold steps when you don't know what else to do.
As for maturity, look at me -- 92 and regularly getting in trouble with the Ethics Committee.
