Emergency Meeting - Blog in Peril

The Elgin Street Irregulars blog seems to be in peril-- despite occasional brilliant postings by its members. Here are some questions I believe we need to discuss in our next emergency meeting.

What is the future of the Elgin Street Irregulars blog? Should we let the ESI blog die? If so, should we create something new, inviting new membership, with new goals, a new mission statement, etc? Or, should we keep flogging the dead horse of finding a muse? How can we inject new life into our blog?

Perhaps we should extend these questions to our readership and blogging experts for their input.

Minutes will be posted at a later date. Stay tuned.

I am stunned!

But since you asked: I think you can inject new life into the blog by, you know, writing on it.

Mmmmm. A wee tad radical for some of our number lately, but solid advice, Zoom.

How about a contest? Blog readers LOVE contests.

The winner could do a guest post on the ESI blog!

Aggie, this is brilliant! It's as good a prize as our vetoed idea of dinner at the usual spot with Coyote.

Huh? Why does nobody ever mention these putative dinner dates to the dog? I mean, until after they're safely deep-sixed...?

C-dog, have you been forgetting your memory pills? You're the one who always vetoes the dinner-with-Coyote prize.

I find that alot of the members have their own blogs. So, I check those ones out first.

Why not just post everything on this one and talk about Elgin St. too.

A&J,

Are you suggesting that I stop putting my brilliant google poems on Swabbin' th' Deck and instead let the other ESIs bask in the reflected glory?

Sigh. This is why we got ourselves solo projects in the first place... all these rock star egos, smacking up against each other...
