If we found her...

Suppose she is blogging... Somewhere else... Under a new pseudonym... Sharing stories that show it's not all happily ever after?

And suppose we found her new blog...

Would it be wrong to start writing about it here? and link to her? Yeah, probably wrong, right? Some of the people who were mean to her check in here from time to time. And I know this will sound crazy, but what if we were the ones she wanted to get away from?

I suppose if she wanted us to find her, she'd give us a clue. Maybe link to us so it would show up in the tracking stats.

But it still wouldn't be obvious what we should do. Suppose she's back giving the intimate details that we love so much? On the one hand, I'd want to discuss it with the ESIs and our readers, but on the other hand, I wouldn't want to force her to relocate to another secret blog.

What do you folks think?

And suppose she posted on that new blog, saying that she knows you've found her. And suppose she says that she's HAPPY you've decided not to focus the metablog on her again...then what would you do? What would be right to do?

Yeah, I think it's the people who I had to threaten with a restraining order that I'm most concerned about. Better they not know. As for you guys, I think Dwarfie cottoned on to my secret alert strategy.

We all have secrets, ma'am. And I think you know that some of us keep 'em very well...

Hey ESIs, don't give up looking for the Fifth Muse. I'm still out there looking for the real killers. I know I'll find them. And I know you'll find Musie, too.

Gee. If you're going to do that, IOJO, you'll need a spiffy set of wheels for all the mobile detection and surveillance that you'll need to be doing on all of the golf courses in Florida. By coincidence, for the next four days only, eBay has just the thing, goin' dirt cheap, for some reason....

Anonymous: those are interesting wrinkles you've thrown into this hypoethical example.

To get proper discussion on this new direction, we maybe have to add on more condition:

Suppose this blog is just about us and is more than self-referential wanking.

Aggie: This gag of you pretending to be the 5th Muse is getting tired.

Dwarf: I'm surprised you're capable of blogging at all today after the verbal beating you took last night regarding certain beverages you were enjoying. Not to mention the fact that you may have stayed awake all night because of said beverages...and thus should be too tired to blog, in any event.

Aggie: the problem with fooling people in a convincing fashion even once is that afterwards, they will never know when they can believe you.

Anonymous: You should know how much of a beating I can take and still keep blogging.
