Blogito ergo sum

Huh. She's baaaaaack, colleagues -- and the trip to the house that Trois Rivieres built went very nearly as well as we predicted. Quelle surprise, to coin a phrase -- although since I am a western coyote, I'm not sure if the coinage of that particular realm should be masculine or feminine. Shrug. Also a Gallic gesture, I note. Shall I wear a wild rose in my metaphorical buttonhole as well?

Some wag astutely pointed out to me recently that our muse hated the trip, fought with M. throughout, and a bare paragraph later cooed nonchalantly about sucking back iced coffee and lemon squares with him, in the new Bridgehead on our favourite street. I wonder if these obtusely sexless battles are some sort of twisted post-modern bonding experiences? Perhaps the cold joe 'n lemon squares are an asexual substitute for the make-up sex that is so patently not taking place? Not that bloggers have any place in the bedrooms of the nation. Fuddle duddle, hmmmph and good night.

Arr, lads, 'tis true. Cold joe'n'lemon squares is no substitute fer sharing th'old biscotti with yer wench.

Not to quibble overmuch here, Dwarf, but in Italian, wouldn't that be a singular biscotte rather than its abominably misused-in -north-american-coffeejoints-with pretensions plural, biscotti? Just asking. 'Less, of course, dwarves got more goin' on than normal sorts, which I suppose is entirely possible...

Coyote, we've still not seen an explanation for the Georgette vote on the last poll.

I appreciate you keeping a weather eye on my spellification. But as for Italian and related matters, let's just say that on the rare occasion I partake of my coffee at Starbucks, I don't order a "venti", I order a "large".

Do you suppose 5M's preference for the soft texture of a lemon square rather than the crunchy stiffness of a biscotte is somehow symbolic of other choices she's made?

My concern is not the 5M's shunning of the biscotte, but her sadness for the black cars. Trust me, they do look better in the shade.

And those lemon squares certainly aren't the healthy choice, either.

Dwarf, re poll: maybe it's my instinct. Maybe my sensitive and pointy sniffer. Or maybe I'm just messin' with your head. You choose...
