I feel a shift in the Karma

I feel a shift in the Karmic order. Slight, but noticeable. I'm not sure what, yet, but there's something akin to a tiny whirlwind stirring up the grass out there, down the hill on the flats.

5M's latest post suggests she has no lover, 'although she remains open to one'. Since my twitching nose has caught whiffs of a lover hidden somewhere beneath her recent posts -- and we all know of whom I speak -- I'm giving serious consideration to your hypothesis , Dwarf. All signs point to the lcp having climbed into the box to mess with the good Prof Schroedinger's furline for a nanosecond. But, as we posited back a couple of weeks, he apparently was unable to hang in for the long run. Unlucky, for him, that.

But back to the bigger picture. What are we to make of this in terms of our m*se? I think you're correct, Dwarf. Hers is, after all, a screed with the burning glass focused -- just so -- upon relationships, just as ours turns on her. But the lcp did not want to be mentioned, and so had in fact, become the anti-muse. He had to go. Deprived of her chosen mesa rim, where else could 5M leap that was not going to seem silly and pointless?

Dear me. I seem to have cooked quite a metaphor hash, here. Not for the weak of stomach, this literary stuff...

P'raps while 'r lass has her spyglass focussed on r'layshunships, these walks 'nd meetin's with oth'r lassies 'll start to pull her stern around 'nd head her inta calmer waters.

I think the positive karmic shift can partially be attributed to the lcp who was excellent rebound material. While he was the Anti-M*se, I have a newfound respect for the man - he showed wisdom, integrity; he set a few boundaries; and, according to backchannel sources, may have been quite heartbroken as a result of his brief dalliance with the 5M. I'm beginning to think he may be among Ottawa's finest literary bachelors.

As I'm deeply absorbed in mystery-writing at the moment, I'm afraid I'll be unavailable for comment for the next couple of days. I trust the Chair will keep a firm handle on the Ethics situation in my absence...

I'm afraid Agatha that for a firm handle on a situation the Chair cannot match your grip on the carpet bag.

Yes. I fear that carpet bag at times. Although it has been pretty comfy at others. Best wishes on the mystery work, Agatha. Murder somebody deserving!!
