Thank you, thank you. No. Really!

I understand from early reports on CBC Radio One this morning that City Councillor Dog (Sic. Hah.) Thompson held a raucous little public meeting about the coyote problem in Greeley last night. Seems my brethren in the 'burbs may have eaten three smallish dogs and spread FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt) among many not-so-rural-savvy residents out there. Although many other predatory suspects are just as usual. Good luck with that project, Dog, it's a sure-fire vote-getter.

And thank you, thank you, for the unsolicited accolades, everybody! Only (semi) legendary coyote modesty prevents me from taking a well-deserved bow. Oh, and maybe the fact that I'm four-legged...

Just popped in to say hi. It's been a while & I see some of you were wondering where I was. I sort of ran out of minutes in my life to keep up with the whole blogging thing. So, while there's a bit of a lull, I thought I'd try to catch up. Am I still under any sort of legal obligation vis a vis that prize I "won"?

Nice of you to drop by xup. We are going to have to consult our legal team about this one, ok?

Oh man... do I need to get representation? Because I don't have time for a long drawn out legal battle and I did suggest a couple of names and I might even be able to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the obligation is basically unfillable. Could I maybe buy you a beer and call it even?

Why is it that our interactions with others always seem to devolve into either litigation or drinking?

Good question dwarf. I'm just trying to weasel out of this prize because I've come to realize you guys have already pre-eliminated everyone I would suggest. I will, however, accept full responsiblity for reneging on the deal and will take the consequences whatever they may be. There will be no need for litigation. Drinking, on the other hand is always in order. As Homer says,"Beer: the cause of and solution to all of life's problems"

...would that bit be in the Odyssey or in the Iliad...?
